Scroll, swipe, sold: Klipster app brings the TikTok effect to real estate

Klipster, a new real estate platform aimed at younger homebuyers, has launched with a mobile app that combines short-form video, automation and marketplace features.

Created by co-founders Arlinda Dine, Eric Benaim and Michael Taus, the platform is designed for what the company describes as a “content-first” home shopping experience, targeting Millennials and Gen Z with the fun slogan, “If TikTok & Zillow had a love child.”

The founders said Klipster is intended to replace the multiple tools agents and buyers typically use during the home-search process — and characterized it as “bringing the TikTok effect to real estate.”

“Consumers can buy everything from sneakers to sofas in seconds on TikTok Shop and Instagram, so why should real estate feel stuck in the past?” Dine said. “Klipster takes that shift to the next level, giving agents and buyers a seamless way to tour, chat and apply in real time. It’s dynamic, efficient and exactly what the next generation of homebuyers expects.”

The app functions as a hybrid of social media and property listing platforms — allowing users to post short-form “Klips” showcasing properties and neighborhoods. Built-in messaging allows direct communication between agents and buyers.

Benaim said the goal is to simplify how people explore homes.

“Buyers no longer need to step foot inside a property, especially when moving cross-country or even cross-continent,” he said. “Klipster bridges the gap between tech innovation and real estate marketing, empowering agents and home shoppers with a seamless, content-driven platform built for today’s digital-first market.”

The company uses artificial intelligence (AI) to automate parts of the marketing process, including generating video promotions from property listings and optimizing them for online viewing.

AI tools can also convert listing photos into short videos for social platforms.

Taus — a founder of Rent.com and former marketing lead at Rentable — said the platform reflects shifts in consumer behavior.

“Klipster is positioned to drive the next wave; empowering agents to adapt quickly while giving buyers and renters a visually immersive home search experience,” he said.

Klipster will begin operating in New York City, the New Jersey metro area and South Florida before expanding nationwide. Leaders added that strategic partnerships are being sought with brokerages.

The app is available on the App Store, with a beta waitlist for additional users.
