Redfin has partnered with CubiCasa to integrate interactive floor plans and virtual tours into its real estate listings.
Redfin is the first major home search platform to adopt CubiCasa’s interactive media directly into listings, supporting a growing demand among buyers for visual tools that help to assess a home’s suitability.
“A home’s layout can make or break whether it’s the right fit, and buyers want to have that information up front,” said Ariel Dos Santos, Redfin’s senior vice president of product and design. “By integrating CubiCasa’s media into our active listings, we’re helping buyers move forward with confidence and find homes that truly match their lifestyle.”
CubiCasa’s technology allows agents and photographers to generate detailed floor plans and tours using a smartphone scan that takes about five minutes. The tool has become increasingly popular — contributing to a rise in listings featuring floor plans across the U.S.
Redfin will display CubiCasa-generated content on all active listings where it is available and said it will continue to show floor plan images from other sources, such as multiple listing services.
“Our mission at CubiCasa has always been to help move the industry towards putting a floor plan on every single listing, to the benefit of the consumer,” said Jeff Allen, president of CubiCasa. “Partnering with Redfin accelerates this mission by elevating floor plans and virtual tours in a consumer-friendly way. Together, we’re enhancing the home search experience and empowering buyers with the information they need to make confident decisions.”
According to the National Association of Realtors, floor plans are among the most sought-after features in online home listings.
